Travel Tips

Altitude Adjustment

If you happen to be an altitude rookie, pay close attention to this travel tip. Brace yourselves for those higher elevations — they can be a bit of a game-changer. Here's a little pro tip: once you hit the ground, guzzle water like it's going out of style. Hydration is your secret weapon against altitude sickness, making your body high-five the altitude instead of feeling a bit wonky.

Altitude + Alcohol

As we gear up for some high-altitude fun, keep in mind the unique combo of altitude and alcohol. The thin air up there can dial up the effects of a drink, hitting you faster than your sea-level sips. No buzzkill intended, just a friendly reminder to pace yourselves, stay hydrated, and be mindful of the altitude twist. Cheers to memorable moments without the altitude surprise!

Sun Protection

Our state serves up sunshine with a punch, especially up in the lofty elevations. Consider sunscreen your trusty sidekick – a must for your outdoor escapades. Slap it on and keep the SPF love flowing, especially when you're out and about under that brilliant Colorado sky. Think of it as your shield against the sun's mighty rays, ensuring your adventures leave you glowing, not burnt.

Layer Your Clothing

Colorado's weather can be unpredictable, even during the summer. Think layers, layers, layers. Packing light is cool, but a versatile wardrobe is your ticket to conquering temperature twists. Toss in that easy-breezy jacket or a snug sweater — they're your secret weapons when the sun decides to play hide and seek or evenings get a little chilly. Adapt like a pro, stay comfy, and let your wardrobe be as dynamic as Colorado's ever-changing skies.
